The Kindness Chain

Planning on making a chain in your store or with your group? Let us know! Send a logo or a picture and we will add your kindness to this page.

A chain built by the kindness of our community.

During the weeks leading up to the festival, participating schools, businesses, groups and organizations can make a kindness chain!

Write an act of kindness that you have done or will do, on a colored strip of paper, and the link to the chain. Then join us at the festival and help us walk the chain down Main Street.

Participants at the fest will add to the collected chains. At the closing of the festival, we will walk and stretch the chain through main street of Downtown Evergreen! Our goal is to make it all the way to Cactus Jacks!

We have so much to be grateful for. Let's celebrate our gratitude together!

What you will need:
Colored construction paper, scissors, markers, and staplers.

  1. Cut: Cut a piece of colored construction paper lengthwise into strips.

  2. Write: On one side, write an act of kindness. On the other side, write your name.

  3. Loop: Form the strip into a loop and staple the ends together to make the first link.

  4. Connect: Keep adding links and watch the Kindness Chain grow!

  5. Drop your chain off when you are done, or bring it to the festival.

  6. Walk with us on November 14th at 4pm when we will walk the finished chain down Evergreen's main street. See you there!
